  76. This package contains 'The Original' Alternative SETUP.EXE Bootstrap
  77. Program Professional Edition (Version 5.0) by Chapter One Developments
  78. Ltd.

  80. This document contains only a brief description of the package and its
  81. features, along with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed
  82. documentation is included in the package, but it is in archived form, and
  83. is more easily read after installation.

  85. SETUP.EXE is the program which your users run to install your
  86. application (as in A:\SETUP). It is designed to pre-install specific
  87. files (such as DLLs and VBXs) which are used by a main Setup program
  88. which performs the actual application installation.

  90. SETUP.EXE Professional is a shareware program. This evaluation version
  91. includes all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way. You
  92. may evaluate it for as long as you wish but if you want to distribute
  93. an application using SETUP.EXE Professional then you must purchase the
  94. licensed version (registration - see REGISTER.TXT for more details). Any
  95. fee you may have paid to others (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain
  96. this evaluation version was a fee for their copying and distribution
  97. services, rather than a payment for continued use of the program.

  125. example, for Visual Basic developers a directory of SETUPPRO under
  126. \VB\SETUPKIT\ would be ideal) and copy the contents of the distribution
